What we are looking for

We’re after a Survey Technician with 5+ years’ New Zealand experience who is keen to take ownership of their work and contribute to a wide variety of projects across the region.

You’ll be working alongside licensed surveyors, engineers, and planners on cadastral, topographic, and land development projects. The role includes field and office-based tasks – from operating survey equipment and capturing accurate data through to processing plans, preparing datasets, and supporting project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake cadastral, topographical, and as-built surveys.
• Operate and maintain GNSS, robotic total stations, UAV/drones, and other surveying instruments.
• Process survey data, generate base plans, and prepare cadastral survey datasets for LINZ.
• Use Landonline to manage survey data and submissions.
• Support project teams with resource consent and engineering drawings.
• Liaise with surveyors, project managers, clients, councils, and contractors.
• Ensure all work meets accuracy, compliance, and quality standards

About You:
You are an experienced survey technician who values precision and takes pride in producing high-quality work. You’re motivated, reliable, and thrive in a supportive team environment.

• 5+ years’ New Zealand surveying experience.
• Proficient in GNSS, robotic total stations, digital levels, and UAV/drones.
• Skilled in software such as Landonline, Civil 3D, and MS Office.
• A strong understanding of NZ cadastral standards and legislation.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and time management skills.
• NZ Diploma in Surveying (Level 6) or equivalent.
• Full NZ Driver’s Licence..
